Back by popular demand, the youth of Champaign-Urbana Theatre Company will perform this epic story recounting the struggle against adversity in 19th century France. Follow the life and struggle of Jean Valjean as he rises from thief to mayor and adoptive father and battles the relentless Inspector Javert. Only years later, after Valjean proves his mettle during a bloody student uprising and saves the life of a young man hope lessly in love with Valjean’s adopted daughter, does the ex-convict finally feel fully redeemed. A drama featuring: ‘On My Own’, ‘Stars’, ‘Do You Hear The People Sing’, ‘Master Of The House’, and ‘Bring Him Home’.
