William Kinderman is a Professor of Musicology at the University of Illinois. He is currently completing books on Wagner's Parsifal and on Genetic Criticism of Music: Studies in the Creative Process. His writings on music have been chosen by musicians such as Daniel Barenboim, Alfred Brendel, Andras Schiff, and Mitsuko Uchida to accompany concert cycles and recordings.
