Immigration: History and Policy, the AY 2008-09 Center for Advanced Study campus-wide initiative, addresses the issues of migration, economy, culture and other pressing immigration issues. Sorting the myths from facts to understand the issues of immigration requires an interdisciplinary approach. Bringing together leading scholars from numerous disciplines, this initiative explores new approaches to immigration and its implications for our society and our own lives.

On November 3rd "In the Trails of the Historic Diaspora: Africa's New Global Migrations and Diasporas" will be presented by
Paul Tiyambe Zeleza ( History, University of Illinois at Chicago)

This presentation is given as part of the yearlong CAS Initiative on
Immigration - History and Policy.

All CAS lectures are free and open to the public.
