The Parkland Community Orchestra, conducted by Jack Ranney, will perform Le Tombeau de Couperin by Maurice Ravel, the Prelude to Act 1 of La Traviata by Gusieppe Verdi, and George Gershwin's Cuban Overture. The orchestra will close its portion of the program with the James Bond Medley. The Parkland Community Concert Band, conducted by Jeffrey Marshall, welcomes back three of its four former conductors for this special reunion event. Erwin Hoffman, William Worra, and Gregory Grove will return to lead the band in works by Percy Grainger, Lerner and Lowe, and Kenneth Alford. Music by Dmitri Shostakovich and Julie Giroux are also included on the program. The concert is free and open to the public.
