A history of Asian American Student Activism at UIUC While UIUC does not recognize Asian Americans as an under-represented minority, there is a long history of Asian American student activism for resources and support services on campus. This presentation will discuss this history from the 1970s through the 1990s and the movements that led to the creation of the Asian American studies program and the Asian American cultural center.
