Talk Description: Professor Solberg presents governance at the University of Illinois. Drawing on a comparison of the administration of higher education in Europe and the United States, Professor Solberg addresses the role of the Board of Trustees and the president of the University in governing and administering the University, with some attention to the selection of the president and the relations between the trustees and the president at various times in the history of the University.
