Chester Street Bar is home to Illinois' longest-running industrial electronic club night. Every Monday, DJ SorceryKid crafts a continuous audio-visual mixshow of the latest and the greatest in dark alternative and underground dance music. DJ SorceryKid coined the title Nekromancy to describe the quasi-thematic steampunk / cyberpunk influences of Monday nights — where mediaeval fantasy engages modernist technology. Consider a pastiche of the H.P. Lovecraft Mythos, Quake, and Thief: The Dark Project.
