A spirit of discovery, exploration, and adventure lead an evening featuring Copland’s El Salón México; Bruns’ Concerto for Contrabassoon and Orchestra, Op. 98; Blanton’s Sonant Voyage; and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 in E-flat Major, Op. 55, “Eroica.” Featuring Henry Skolnick on Contrabassoon and Jim Pugh on Trombone. Directed and conducted by Ian Hobson.
