Holiday cupcakes from Cream and Flutter

There are some staples that work to get me through finals every semester: chai tea lattes, Andrea Bocelli music, comfy slipper-socks, retail therapy, and a couple cupcakes from Cream and Flutter. They always have such amazing and creative flavors that match the seasons. I truly look forward to seeing what new cupcakes owners/sisters Amanda Bates and Trisha Sutton come up with next!

The seasonal nutmeg eggnog flavor was great!

This holiday season’s menu includes several drool-inducing items. You can check out the full selection here, but my favorites are the nutmeg eggnog (pictured) and chocolate peppermint. I am also dying to try the imaginative fig marscapone. And of course the question remains: how do I not get the red velvet? Or maybe a whoopie pie? You get the picture… you can’t go wrong at Cream and Flutter.

So forget about skinny pants. You can aim for them starting in 2012. For now, banish your studying stupor and holiday headache with a festive holiday cupcake from Cream and Flutter (114 N. Walnut St., Champaign). I will see you there getting my third of the week!
