The Grammy’s have come and gone, and now is the time to update your iPods and discover the next big thing: In Tall Buildings.
The Chicago indie rock band will be performing at Mike ‘n Molly’s in Champaign on Saturday, Feb. 18. with Grandkids and Cains & Abels at 10 p.m.
In Tall Buildings combines the indie style of Joshua Radin with the folk sounds of Yukon Blonde. While they combine a series of diverse styles, In Tall Buildings has a sound that is truly their own with each song on their self-titled debut album expressing a different facet of the band’s personality.
This weekend escape the monotony of the Green Street bar scene and listen to calm melodies coupled with sultry vocals at a bar that doesn’t indulge in screaming sorority girls.
Cover for the show is only $5. I’d love to say I’ll see you there, but this 20-year-old is exempt from entry. The show is 21 and older.
Going home to Chicago this weekend and going to miss the show? Have no fear. In Tall Buildings will be performing in Evanston Saturday, Feb. 19 at SPACE. To hear more from the indie rockers like them on Facebook or check them out at www.intallbuildings.com.
