I have always loved music, both from the performing perspective and as a listener. In my free time, I am a social and drug reform activist working as a Field Coordinator for Illinois Drug Education and Legislative reform. Additionally, with my time left over I do find some space after my radio and activist responsibilities to attend classes here at U of I and possibly one day walk across the stage with a psychology degree in hand. Until that day happens though I am for the most part a slave to the music I love, and forever lost in the pursuit of great music.
More About The Mad Hatter
If you were to be stranded on an island what are the three things you would bring with you?
Lou Malnati's deep dish sausage pizza with butter crust. A trombone (if I brought a guitar the strings would break after a while). For the third item I'll have to go with suntan lotion, I'm white and polish so a sunburn comes easy.
What is your favorite color for fishing lures?
Chartreuse
If you could "chill out" with one member of history, who would it be?
Probably Thomas Jefferson he would have made for decent conversation.
Would you believe in a love at first sight?
Yes I'm certain that it happens all the time.
What is you opinion of the greatest invention since sliced bread?
Rumple Minze or Chicago's mass transit system, I'm not sure which.
What would you say to folks that think safety is worth more than liberty?
In the words of Benjamin Franklin "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
Fender or Gibson?
Fender of course.
What are the three biggest problems with the world today?
Overpopulation, the general feeling of entitlement people have about practically everything, and an absence of having a sense of humor about ourselves.
What is the greatest threat our generation faces?
The lost art of listening to music purely for the sake of listening, now folks listen in their cars or working out but when's the last time you put on an album cranked up the dial and drifted off into a musical masterpiece.
Cats, dogs, or llamas?
llamas of course
In that case Brazilian or West Burmese?
Brazilian, the wool is just that much softer...
Biggest tragedy of the century?
Animals in War, they had no choice.
Would you say that it's business time?
All the time.
