Radioactivity has been running for almost 10 years, and has undergone many transformations along the way. In its current state, it is a mix show that features dance music and other interesting forms of electronic music. Songs on the show are blended together to create a seamless audio experience, and to create interesting fusions between songs. Also, every month or so Radioactivity welcomes guest DJ's into the studio to throw down hour-long sets and mix things up. The show is sponsored by Soma Ultralounge in downtown Champaign.

More About Radioactivity
Can I request music during Radioactivity?
Yes, but try to keep it within the realm of electronic music. Some classic (but not classical) songs work too, but try to refrain from requesting regular WPGU music
Why can't I tell when one song ends and another begins?
Why you can't tell is because the songs on Radioactivity are being mixed together live. If you can't tell when one song ends and another begins… good, because that's the point. Mixing tracks together enables DJ's to create a unique sound by blending two songs together.
What's this techno crap, and why are the songs on other stations so long?
The general public thinks all electronic music is "techno," but in reality techno is its own genre with its own sound. As far as all this music goes, it is a very loved/hated form of music. One thing people always complain about is the length of electronic dance music (EDM) tracks. What people don't know is that EDM tracks are engineered to be mixed, and when mixing the DJ never lets the whole song play alone. For the most part, every song has a "click track" as the introduction of the song. It's basically a stripped down version of the rest of the song, and it enables DJ's to get a good feel for the tempo and mix easier. Also, close to the end of the track, tracks usually start losing elements of the song. These keep vanishing until it sounds like the beginning again. This is an audible way to signal to the DJ that the song is ending. When you see a song that's labeled "Radio Edit" it means that the song has been reduced to the important main part, and the elements useful to DJ's have been removed.
