Albums of 2008
- Coldplay- Viva La Vida (Self Explanatory)
- 1. Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend: I know I'll probably get a lot of slack for putting this one first, but when this album came out in late January, I didn't stop listening to it on repeat until the end of April and it is still in rotation (but fading). I haven't been like that with an album since Jr. High. I don't listen to this album that much anymore, but that early stint in 2008 was enough to make it number one.
- 2. Cardinology - Ryan Adams & the Cardinals: I'm a sucker for anything Ryan Adams. He's such a good song writer and if you haven't heard him live, he's flawless.
- 3. You & Me - The Walkmen: I didn't think I would like this album. I saw them open for Spoon at the Vic back in Chicago and was very intrigued. Then I heard the album. This one is so good. Raw is another solid word to describe what's going on here.
- 5. Evil Urges - My Morning Jacket: I don't care what Pitchfork says. This album was awesome.
I love beautiful eyes, the quiet side of party girls, I've always wanted to be a pilot and fire fighter but instead, some bank is going to trust me to invest all your money...
I often pretend to be a financial times writer for the Sun-Times.
