Hailing from the Midwest suburbs of Chicago, Brittney is a fun and energetic girl (even during those 3am to 6am shifts) that loves her friends, family, dancing, dancing in the rain, singing, singing in the studio alone at night, soccer, music, piercings, tattoos, love, hugs, butterfly kisses, not acting her age, photographs, laughing so hard her cheeks hurt, deep conversations, the city, surprises, the color green, chocolate, her electric blanket, Chapstick, and most of all, HONORING YOUR SONG REQUESTS.

Brittney is a freshman in the College of Media, majoring in Broadcast Journalism. (Surprise, surprise!)

More About Brittney Borowicz

Brittney, what is your favorite thing about being on the air?

Honoring song requests! Not only do I enjoy hearing songs that others enjoy, especially when I have not heard them before, but the calls and IMs keep me company during the early hours of 3am-6am.

Brittney, do you have any favorite WPGU listeners?

Yes, two. The first being my boyfriend who has pulled just about every all-nighter that I have while being a DJ at this station. I stay up in order to entertain the insomniacs and/or early risers who listen to WPGU while he stays up in order to listen to the show as well as keep me company, The second is my uncle. He lives in Singapore and even though he is at work during my shift (the timezone that Singapore is in is12 hours ahead of our time) he always manages to listen to me and call in requests of his own. Oh yea. There was also one night where I was made an honorary member of some fraternity because I honored their song requests all night long. I do not remember which frat this was but they made for a fun and entertaining night.

Brittney, what do you do during those 3am-6am shifts?

Sit, Facebook creep, and occasionally work on homework. You can also find me singing along to the songs playing on the station or attempting a Sudoku puzzle (none of which I have completed so far). My shift sometimes gets lonely so feel free to call me with song requests (or just to say hi) or if you happen to be walking along Green Street, stop by the window and wave!
