New York's the Yeah Yeah Yeah's have only three members, singer Karen O, Nicolas Zinner and drummer Brian Chase. Their rise to popularity was in the early 00's after garage rock came back into fashion. In 2004 their hit "Maps" which received play on VH1 pushed the band into a full national spotlight. Karen O's distinguishing melodic growl and their lack of a bassist contribute deeply to the band's signature sound. In 2006 they released Show Your Bones, their most recent full length, followed by 2007's Is Is EP, a collection of songs written between their two major label albums.

YYYs have recorded three studio albums: “Fever to Tell” and “Show Your Bones” and “It’s Blitz!”, as well as three EPs: “Yeah Yeah Yeahs” EP, “Machine” EP and the “Is Is” EP, which features songs written during the “Fever to Tell” era that were not recorded until 2007. The latest hit, "Zero," is off of the latest album, titled “It’s Blitz," released in March 2009.
