Tractor Kings — as their band name hints — is from Champaign-Urbana. They are a local psychedelic/country rock band. The band was started by Jake "Cujo" Fleischli who plays the 12-string guitar, harmonica and on vocals. His band mates are Johnny Chemical on lead guitar, Marty "Farmboy" Gray on drums and Aaron "Jibbski" McCallister on bass guitar and vocals. They originally formed in 1998 and since then have released two albums. In 2007, their third album was made in the studio and have plans to drop soon after. The band's music is really an experience someone described as space cowboy. They hope they can start touring as soon as their third album is released.
