Storming onto both the U.K. and U.S. pop charts in the 1960s with such hits as "Do You Want to Know a Secret,"Love Me Do," and "Twist and Shout," the Beatles became the most popular band in the world and most of the most influential pop bands of all time. They released several records during the ’60s and ’70s, included the classic "Help!", "Revolver," "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," The Beatles, "Yellow Submarine," "Abbey Road," and "Let It Be." While the band was initially part of the "British Invasion," which featured many of prominent English acts of the time, they quickly outpaced their peers and eventually mastered several types of music, fusing pop, rock, psychedelic and other genres such as blues together into extremely catchy pop gems.
