Takeover UK, The

    The Takeover UK got their start in Pittsburgh, PA back in 2004 when guitarist/vocalist Nic Snyder, son of former City House Rockers member Gil Snyder, joined up to form the band with longtime friends, guitarist Mark Solomich and drummer Josh Sickels. At the time, Solomich and Sickels played other projects together, but decided to move away from those and begin something new with Snyder. After they found out their original name, The Takeover, was already taken, they decided to tack on the ‘UK’ portion and become The Takeover UK. After releasing their debut EP It’s All Happening in 2008, they released their full length debut in March 2009, entitled Running With The Wasters. Their combinations of alt rock with an edge of power pop, The Takeover UK bring a catchy sound to the forefront.
