    Austin based Spoon came together in 1994 and have been shifting stylistically. Lead singer Brit Daniel and the band have battled record labels since its inception, leading them to be dropped form Elektra and eventually releasing independent EP's. Spoon have filled out their sound on their two most recent albums, 2005's Gimme Fiction and 2007's Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, with bigger arrangements and even some Motown style horns on some of the most recent cuts
