Considered one of the pioneers of the lo-fi movement of the early 1990's, Sebadoh is the work of Eric Gaffney, Dinosaur Jr bassist Lou Barlow and Jason Loewenstein. Active since the last 1980's, the group has released nine albums under Homestead Records and Sub Pop. Looking for an outlet from his act Dinosaur Jr, Barlow recruited Eric Gaffney to record cassettes and side work that eventually got Barlow kicked out of the group. With prominent releases such as "Sebadoh III" and "Bubble and Scrap," Sebadoh gained recognition for not only their instrumental work, but the songwriting talents of Jason Loewenstein as well. As of 2007, the group is currently touring with the original line-up for the first time in 14 years.
