If you want to know what happens when a couple of former child actors start a band together, look no further than LA-based indie band, Rilo Kiley. The brainchild of former child stars Blake Sennett and Jenny Lewis, Rilo Kiley first started making sweet music together in 1998. Kicking their career off strong with their first full length Barsuk Records release, Take Offs and Landings in 2001, Rilo Kiley has had little time for rest. For their sophomore effort, Execution of All Things, the band was signed to Saddle Creek. However, creative tensions arose and led to the creation of Brute/Beaute Records. In 2004, their most successful release yet, More Adventurous, was released on Brute/Beaute. Since then, Lewis and Sennett have dabbled in their own pet projects, Lewis with her solo album featuring the Watson Twins and Sennett with The Elected. In August of 2007, their 4th full length album, Under the Blacklight was released on Warner Bros Records.
