    Ratatat is an electronic music duo consisting of guitarist Mike Stroud and synth player and producer Evan Mast who formed the band in 2001 in New York City when they were college students at Skidmore College. In 2004 they made their debut with their self titled album, Ratatat, on XL Recordings, which is entirely instrumental save a couple of excerpts at the beginning and end of the album. Their next album, Classics, was released in 2006 and was well received, providing the single "Wildcat." They've toured with several popular bands, including Interpol, Clinic, Junior Boys, The Killers, The Shins, and The Faint, developing their own reputation along the way. They've also released two remix albums, the first being released in 2006 and the second being released in 2007.
