Notoriously tumultuous British rockers Oasis become one of the biggest bands from across the pond in 1994. Oasis has a knack for rolling up the styles of The Who, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and the Kinks all into their own style, which brought back the popularity of British guitar rock in the mid ‘90's. Led by guitarist and lead songwriter Noel Gallagher, the band worked out it's sound and began to focus it's sights on taking over America. They succeeded with the 1995 release of, "(What's the Story Morning Glory?." It's single, "Wonderwall," eventually made the album go quintuple platinum in America. Internal feuding between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher caused tours supporting subsequent albums to fall apart. Although the band has hardly faded into obscurity, it seems as though the band will never top the success of their most influential work.
