My Morning Jacket can best be described as an independent experimental jam band with country and psychedelic influences. They formed in Louisville, Kentucky and have released five studio albums and one live album in the ten years since they formed in 1998. Frequent performers at the Bonnaroo Music Festival, they thrive on stage and are known for their energetic live performances. Although the line-up of the band has changed several times throughout the years, the band currently consists of Jim James on vocals and guitar, "Two Tone" Tommy on bass, Patrick Hallahan on drums, Bo Koster on keyboards and layout and Carl Broemel on guitar. The band has been signed to A.T.O. records since 2003.
