Joe Jackson is a British singer/songwriter who has been recording albums since 1979. Based out of Portsmoth, England, Jackson was a large part of the new wave movement of the early '80s with the likes of Elvis Costello and Graham Parker. He is best known in the United States for his 1979 single "Is She Really Going Out With Him?" and the 1982 single "Steppin' Out", both of which were top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100. He began to experiment with jazz later on in his career, and continues to tour and play a wide range of musical stylings today. He just recently finished recording a new album which is due out in January 2008.
