J Geils Band - Freeze Frame
The J Geils Band is a rock band based out of Worcester, Massachusetts. They began in the 1960s when John Geils, Danny Klein, and Richard Salwitz formed a blues band, which in 1967 became the rock band that we are all familiar with. They released a large number of full length albums from 1970 to their break up in 1986. All of these releases achieved great success in the United States and many of their singles reached the top of the charts. Their biggest success came from their 1981 single "Centerfold", which topped the U.S. charts for 6 weeks and reached #3 in the U.K. They broke up in 1986 and tried to reunite in 1999, but poor ticket sales eventually led to the band deciding to stay broken up for good.
