    Iron and Wine is the stage performance name of singer/songwriter Sam Beam. The first Iron and Wine album, The Creek Drank The Cradle, was released by Sub Pop in 2002. He found commercial success in 2004 with his cover of the Postal Service's "Such Great Heights." Our Endless Numbered Days was also released in 2004 and was greeted with much critical acclaim. Iron and Wine has released numerous EPs and the band's most recent work, The Shepherd's Dog, was released in September 2007.
