INXS is recently known as the band who had a reality show series called "Rock Star: INXS" in 2004, which was a competition to find a new lead singer for the band. Going back in time INXS was originally a rock band from Sydney, Austrailia. They started in 1977 as a band releasing their first album "Just Keep Walking" in 1980 with their first Australian hit single. Their third album "Shabooh Shoobah" is what put INXS on the map internationally. In 1984 their song "Original Sin" was put on the international top charts except in the UK. 1985's "Listen Like Thieves" album was their breakthrough album and recognition in the UK. They had perfected a great Rolling Stones sound with their roots fused in it. Lead singer at the time Michael Hutchence was also getting alot of attention after fitting in with the looks of MTV's '80s style at the time. The peak of their career was in 1987 with their album "Kick" where they had several hit singles storming the charts everywhere. The band had several albums afterwards but not as much popularity since 1987 but wentforth to release 10 albums since Michael Hutchence's death in 1997. The band then reunited in 2004 to find their next lead singer which was winner J.D. Fortune from Canada. INXS then released their 11th album in 2005 appropriately titled "Switch" with their new lead singer.
