Formed in 1991 by three Jewish students at Tufts University in Boston, Guster is known for its live performances, sound, humor, and massive cult following. Guster's first two albums didn't gain the band much publicity, but had a large underground following. However, they broke into the mainstream in 1999 with Lost and Gone Forever. The single ‘Fa Fa' broke into the American Adult 40. Their most recent album ‘Ganging Up on the Sun' was released in 2006 and was accompanied with a documentary entitled ‘Joes Place' on their website. Guster is known for its activism in the political arena aswell.
