The Foo Fighters were formed by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl shortly after Kurt Cobain's death. He recruited two members of the disbanded Sunny Day Real Estate to tour for the band's first release, which Grohl had recorded nearly every track for himself. The band has since released several hugely successful albums, including The Colour and the Shape, There Is Nothing Left To Lose, and One By One. Some of their successful singles include "Big Me," "Everlong," and "Times Like These." The Foo Fighters have remained a strong voice in Alternative music since the mid ’90s and show no signs of slowing down.
