    Elwood is a hip-hop and pop music project from producer Prince Elwood Strickland II and songwriter Brian Boland. Strickland grew up in North Carolina and has a background in rap, soul, country and folk. The duo recorded a demo at Strickland's studio which led to a deal with which they worked with producer Steve Lillywhite on debut album "The Parlance of Our Times," released in 2000.
