Edwyn Collins, while best known for his mid-90s hit "A Girl Like You," has had a lengthy career in the music business. He was part of the band Orange Juice, which had the very successful single "Rip It Up." Orange Juice broke up in 1985 and Collins has been solo ever since. He has released seven solo albums and several of his guitar-driven pop tunes have been featured on movie soundtracks (Empire Records, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery).
