    group of boys in Staffordshire University met in studying music technology and formed a band called the Editors. They met in University and originated from Birmingham, England. Tom Smith the lead vocals/ rhythm guitarist/ piano player, Chris Urbanowicz lead guitarist and synth, Russell Leetch bass guitarist and backing vocals, and Ed Lay drummer make up the band. They are one of England's successful indie rock bands. They released their first album "The Back Room" in 2005. They were a hit in the UK. In the US when it released in 2006 the Editors gained popularity after being played on many indie rock radio stations. They played at American festivals after their first album for instance Coachella and Lollapalooza. They had become a great success so they went back to England after touring to record their next album "An End Has a Start". Then it hit #1 album in the UK after its release in the summer of 2007.
