Desafinado Local Artist

    Based in Champaign-Urbana, Desafinado plays a combination of Samba, Bossa Nova, and popular Brazilian (“MPB”) music. Drawing on these Brazilian roots, the band strives to move the music into more unusual territory with original songwriting and arrangements. Band members are Elis Artz on vocals; Chad Dunn on percussion; Giraldo Rosales on congas; Connie Johnson on Vibraphone; Tom Paynter on flute and melodica; and Greg Jahiel on guitar.
