Best known for hit single "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)," Dead or Alive were a British New Wave band from the 1980s. Composed of Pete Burns, Steve Coy and Jason Alburey, the group has often drawn comparison to Boy George and Culture Club, despite hitting the music scene several years before they did. The group had their greatest success in 1985 with "Youthquake," an album that led to four dance club hits. Garnering much controversy at the time for a look that wavered between gothic and eccentric, Dead or Alive has not released any new music since 2003's "Evolution: The Hits.
