Formed from the remains of two D.C. bands, Dead Meadow is a psychedelic rock band who draws upon the feeling of the music of the 1960's and 1970's in order to create an updated sound. Composed of Jason Simon on vocals and guitar, Steve Kille on bass, and Stephen McCarty on drums, the band has released five full-length albums since 2000. Since signing with Matador Records in 2003, the band has promoted a live show that demonstrates their love of groups such as Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin.
