    Based out of California, the Dead Kennedy's are an influential punk band best noted for their satirical, sarcastic commentaries on social issues through brash lyrics. Active since the late 1970's, the original Dead Kennedy's line-up consisted of vocalist Jello Biafra, guitarist East Bay Ray, bassist Klaus Flouride and drummer 6025. Despite an ever revolving line-up, the group has released five full lengths through label Alternative Tentacles and three live albums. Though breaking up in 1986, the band has steadily had issues with royalties and members of the band wanting to tour under the same name. The current line-up (which does not feature Jello Biafra as vocalist) is set to release "Milking the Sacred Cow" in late 2007.
