Bob Dylan is one of the most influential person in music of all time. He has done so much in his career spanning form the 1960s till now. He's a respected musician, singer/songwriter, author, poet and disc jockey. Bob Dylan's style incorporates rock and roll, hard rock, jazz, country blues, gospel and rockabilly. He's performed with almost everyone from Eric Clapton to Ringo Starr. Bob usually performs with just his guitar, keyboard and harmonica. His real name is Robert Zimmerman and he grew up in a Jewish family immigrated from Odessa, Ukraine. He lived in Minnesota growing up but then later moved to New York City. His music became very popular in the 1960s where his songs became anthems of anti-war. His lyrics are full of politics, philosophy and social issues. His quality of work has been rewarded with many Grammy Awards and Golden Globes. He was also inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with getting Nobel Prize nominations for his literature works. Bob Dylan has had a phenomenal career that continues today. He's released over 30 studio albums, at least 10 compilation albums and many literary publications. Bob Dylan was named the oldest musician to sell platinum in 2006 with his latest album "Modern Times" at age 65. Bob Dylan has become a music icon and plans to keep working on music probably for the rest of his life.
