Basement Jaxx are an English house music duo comprised of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe. Basement Jaxx formed in Brixton, South London, in 1994. The duo released Remedy in 1999, Rooty two years later, and the Grammy winning Kish Kash in 2003. They also won BRIT awards in 2002 and 2004, both for Best British Dance Act. In addition to their own work, Basement Jaxx have remixed tracks such as 4 My People , Like I Love You and She Wants To Move. Recently the duo have written an exclusive piece of music to accompany a work of art they admired, Karel Appellis' Hip Hip Hoorah.
