From 1980's new wave music phase was a band that came out with hits featured in brat-pack movies like Sixteen Candles. Altered Images is known for their great pop punk/new wave music that was incredibly popular in the 80s. Singles like "Happy Birthday" and "I Could Be Happy" have made Altered Images one of New Wave's biggest bands. They have been able to release 8 albums most of which are greatest hits albums since they had broken up sometime around 1987. The band was reunited for a New Wave tour bringing back some of the greatest New wave bands in the UK from their era to perform once again. Altered Images was apart of this tour in 2004. Final performances went on that year in 2004 and no word of anything new since then
