    Hail to the local band that started right here in Urbana-Champaign. Tristan Wraight, Adam Fein, Erin Fein, Seth Fein, Brett Sanderson, Mike Zolfo, and Yichel Chan were all members of the Absinthe Blind. This band was turning some heads with their unique psychedelic/ shoegaze sound. The Fein siblings started the band back in Urbana High School where they began their journey. Tristan Wraight, Absinthe Blind's guitarist/keyboardist, was really the only one to live much of his childhood in England, which further influenced the band's sound from British sources like the Verve and Radiohead. The band had great reviews from critics on their album Rings but there were no more from there. They had a final performance on Sept. 13, 2003, ending a great experience for Absinthe Blind.
