ABC was a band that defined the 80s new wave genre. They were part of the New Romantic movement in music. Lead vocalist Martin Fry and drummer David Palmer are the remaining two members in the band. ABC formed in 1980 in Sheffield. ABC's released 10 albums since 1982. They were one of the first bands to fuse funk and soul into their new wave/pop sound. ABC became a hit with their first single "Tears Are Not Enough". It made the UK top 20 in 1981. After that ABC came with hits like "Poison Arrow", "The Look of Love (Part One)", and "S.O.S.". After years of in and out members in the band Martin Fry was the only one left in 1999. In 2004, VH1's Bands Reunited tried to get Martin Fry and David Palmer to perform together, which they did for the first time in over 20 years.
