Since its inception in 2001, the Summer Camp Music Festival has provided the Central Illinois area with 3 straight-days of music—often led by local CU artists. The third wave of artists announcements for the Chillicothe, IL festival includes musical pioneer Willie Nelson, Bassnectar, Assembly of Dust, That 1 Guy, EOTO, Easy Star All Stars, Secret Chiefs 3, Future Rock and Chicago Farmer.

Summer Camp 2009, held on May 22, 23, and 24 also includes the previously announced moe., Umphrey's McGee, Keller Williams, Girl Talk, Lotus, Cornmeal, Family Groove Company and countless other artists (many of which have graced the stages of CU venues).
