Twilight High School Musical (a parody)

Jun. 04, 2009 - by Stephanie Poquette – buzz Writer

I’ll be the first to admit that I read all four Twilight novels and enjoyed them, but I also enjoy a good Twilight parody. With bad makeup, cheesy dialogue, and over-the-top hair, the film was practically begging to become spoofed by millions. What better time to revisit some of the great parodies then now in the midst of hundreds of photos and film clips from the second film New Moon. “Twilight High School Musical (a parody)” combines the highly popular vampire book with the tween phenomenon High School Musical.

This parody turns some of the major movie moments into musical hilarity. One scene becomes a joke about Edward’s sexuality, and another focuses on Jacob’s clearly non-Native American appearance by exaggerating his “ethnicity” with a Native American dance. The clip channels High School Musical by interrupting the key scenes with a million fist pumps and horrendous lyrics. While everyone has either seen or heard about both of the films, who knew the two together could be way better than either of the films. And as usual, you don’t want to miss the final dance scene, complete with bad wigs and thick black eyeliner.
