We all know of moviefone.com for ticket availability and show times, but today on the Digital Domain I’ll feature a couple websites that go above and beyond to answer the questions most on my mind during a film. Specifically, “will I miss anything if I run to the bathroom right now?” or “is there an extra scene after the credits?”

RunPee.com (helping your bladder enjoy the movie as much as you do) is a genius premise executed perfectly on the internet. It lists most films in theaters and answers the question of when the best time to go to the bathroom would be. The site is simple and easy to navigate. Just select the movie you’re seeing from the front page and RunPee suggests several points in the film which may be a lull in the action. Selecting one of the points lets you know what happens right up to your RunPee point, lets you know how long you’ll have, and has the option of revealing what happens while you’re gone.

RunPee has an iPhone application in the works for when an emergency strikes or when foresight fails.

My other favorite summer blockbuster discovery is MovieStinger.com, which reveals the extra scenes during or after the credits of any film (these scenes are called "stings"). I’ve sat needlessly through several shows in the vain hope that there will be another 20 second scene at the end to tease for a sequel or inject one last quick laugh. The site offers information on every movie in theaters and gives a simple yes or no about the sting. If there is one, the site says where to look for it (during or after the credits, for example) and if you missed it, a summary of what happens in the scene.

Both MovieStinger.com and RunPee.com will enhance your summer movie-going experience that much more. I’d recommend The Hangover (RunPee at 43 minutes and 62 minutes) and Drag Me To Hell (no stings during or after the credits).
