Third Biennial Guitar Festival Ellnora line-up showcases diverse group of talent

The Krannert Center for Performing Arts has announced the line-up for the Third Biennial Guitar Festival, now named Ellnora. Taking place from September 10-12, 2009, this year's festival has over 30 guitarists and 11 free performances, among numerous collaborative events.
The current roster includes: Ani DiFranco, the Keb’ Mo’ Band, the Derek Trucks Band, Bill Frisell’s Disfarmer Project, The National, Chicha Libre, Junior Brown, The Jerry Douglas Band, Dan Zanes & Friends, Alex de Grassi, the Leni Stern Quartet, the Frank Vignola Trio, the Brasil Guitar Duo, Debashish Bhattacharya, The Long Count, The Sisters Euclid, Nigel North, Paul Galbraith, the Brazilian Guitar Quartet, Erin McKeown & Natalia Zukerman, the Jake Hertzog Trio, Richard Julian & Jim Campilongo, the Laurie Morvan Band, and Luciana Souza & Romero Lubambo.

Current ticket prices range from $80 for students to $192 for standard admission.

The Long Count, currently featuring two members of Ellnora act The National, has announced that Kim and Kelley Deal of The Breeders and Pixies fame will provide accompanying vocals for the act. Tickets for the performance can be found at KrannertCenter.com.
