Dead Alive

Young Mama’s boy, Lionel, finally gets a date with the girl of his dreams at the zoo. Too bad his overprotective mother decides to tag along, and as a result gets bitten by a monkey and turned into blood thirsty zombie. What’s a son to do? Act like nothing is unusual, of course! Nursing homes just aren’t in the cards for zombie mom. A zombie nurse might do, however.

Fido

Who hasn’t always wanted a zombie as a pet? Fido may not be as mean as a pit bull, but it sure does pack some bite (pun definitely intended). After a family adopts a zombie as a pet, it mistakes their neighbor for dinner. But who would believe lovable Fido would hurt a soul? Not the son, Timmy. After Fido is eventually sent away Timmy goes on a rescue mission. Fido is part of the family, after all!

Evil Dead

This one couldn’t be ignored. Evil Dead set the bar for zombie comedies and made me never want to venture into a forest alone, for fear of getting raped by trees. Well, at least not without a boomstick. Ash watches his friends fall one by one to an evil force after stumbling upon “the Book of the Dead.” He dismembers them with chainsaws, beheads them with shovels, and blows them to pieces. The gore might make you sick, if it wasn’t so absurdly delightful.

I'm just going to toss Dance of the Dead out there. Zombies at the prom = funny.
