The Magnetic Fields come to the Old Town School of Folk Music March 14-16, bringing their eclectic pop music infused with cello and banjo which makes everyone feel at home in a very intimate venue.

Jose Gonzalez brings his sweet guitar and rich voice to the Lakeshore Theatre on March 17, whose sound reminiscent of Elliot Smith but with a much more complex genealogy. This show will make you feel warm inside even if the Chicago spring decides to act more like winter.

Justice comes back to Chicago on March 20, bouncing their beats through the Riviera Theatre with “D.A.N.C.E”s that will surely have the whole crowd enthralled, ecstatic and really really sweaty.

The Metro will host Louis XIV on March 22, supporting their new album that mixes the sounds of Bowie with the modern rock band. Both synth and acoustic-based, there will be something for anyone in this dancey and thoughtful music.

The list of amazing shows that week goes on with Les Claypool, Steven Malkmus and Avril Lavigne if you feel so inclined. Get out of the house and take the time to hear something amazing.
