As a former DI staff member for four years spanning 1997-2001 I felt compelled to write regarding Mr. Fein's recent tirade. Based on the wonderfully apt title to his piece: "Fuck This Administration - And You Too, If You Support Them," I must say that he has done a phenominal job uniting the country and Illinois student body. Nothing makes others want to listen to your viewpoint more than telling them to "fuck off" if they don't agree with you. For the record, not that it's anyone's business, I voted for Kerry, primarily because I am an educator and do not agree with Mr. Bush's policies regarding the "No Child Left Behind" act.

I don't agree with many things Bush has done. I don't agree with things Clinton did before him, Bush Sr. before that, Reagan, and so on. Thus, Mr. Fein is entitled to disagree with the president. However, until he abandons his ridiculous and childish temper-tantrum, as well as his sensationist tatics to rouse attention, no one will ever take him seriously. So Mr. Fein, excellent work in discrediting yourself in expressing your opinion. You probably just encouraged a dozen people to join the Bush camp.
