Cool off this summer and celebrate National Ice Cream Soda Day on June 30. Flavor possibilities abound, as the standard combination includes a carbonated beverage and a scoop or two of ice cream or sherbet. The most popular varieties are the Chocolate Ice Cream Soda and the Root Beer Float. But rather than reverting to an old standard, mix things up with this fun recipe.

1 scoop vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tbsp grenadine
